Our vision
A VTC works best when it gets out of the way
ORC was started by drivers who were tired of quotas, attendance sheets and rules that changed without explanation. We wanted a place where you can drive whenever you like, with whatever you like, and still be part of something.
That is why there are no mileage requirements and no mandatory events. Convoys happen regularly and everyone is welcome, but nobody is counted.
It is also why ORC is a collective. Staff keep things running, but the direction of the company is set together with members.
How members have a say
From idea to decision
Stage 01
Share an idea
Post a proposal in the ideas forum on Discord. Big or small, anything goes.
Stage 02
Talk it through
Members and staff discuss it openly for at least a week.
Stage 03
Vote
Proposals with support go to a poll that every member can vote in.
Stage 04
Outcome published
Staff post the result, what happens next and why.
Open staff
Staff decisions are posted with the reasoning behind them. If something can’t be shared, we say so and explain why.
Disagreement welcome
Criticising a decision, a rule or a staff member is part of being a collective. It will never count against you.
Room to grow
As ORC grows, so does the say members have. New roles and processes are proposed and voted on like everything else.
Ready when you are
Applications run through our Discord. Say hello, read the rules, and drive whenever you like.
